Tech3 Racing Team rider Xavi Vierge delivered another highly impressive performance to clinch 5th in the mixed conditions at the Australian Grand Prix. The Spaniard leapt forward from 12th on the grid and quickly set into a formidable pace as he glided through the field. He maintained his consistency and diced in the fiercely competitive pack before powering across the finish line, as the rain increased, in 5th to continue his strong form.

Meanwhile, Remy Gardner sealed a point scoring finish on home turf after producing a relentless charge in the 25-lap sprint. The local hero began the race from the sixth row of the grid and quickly got up to speed. He plugged away before riding a ferocious last lap to then meet the chequered flag in 15th. The positive result leaves Gardner confident ahead of the final flyaway event in Malaysia next week.

Tech3 Racing Team rider Xavi Vierge produced a solid performance in the mixed conditions to seal 12th on the grid for the Australian Grand Prix. The young Spaniard built up his pace throughout the 45-minute session before delivering his personal best on the penultimate lap which left him 0.464 back from the second row. Vierge aims to follow up his second place finish in Japan with another impressive result tomorrow in Australia.  

Whilst Remy Gardner qualified at the head of the sixth row of the grid after setting a hot lap that saw him complete the shootout 0.287 behind his teammate. The home hero seeks to undertake a strong start and then power to a top ten finish in front of his fans. The intermediate class race begins at 14:20 local time or 05:30 in central Europe.

Vierge on the pace on Day 1 at Phillip Island – Gardner gets Home GP underway.

Tech3 Racing Team rider Xavi Vierge delivered a confident performance on the opening day of action at the Australian GP to complete FP2 in 14th. After a positive start, the young Spaniard, fresh from a podium finish at the previous round in Japan, rounded out the day with an encouraging personal best which left him 0.454 back from 3rd.

On the other hand, Remy Gardner commenced his home race with a solid display of determination in front of his fans. The young gun endured a tricky FP1 session, whereby he fell, but he picked himself up to finish the afternoon practice only 0.288 behind his teammate. The action recommences tomorrow with FP3 at 11:55 local time, or 02:55 in central Europe.

Vierge delivers wet weather masterclass to seize 2nd – Resolute Gardner speeds to 12th

Tech3 Racing Team rider Xavi Vierge produced a memorable performance to clinch 2nd position at the Japanese Grand Prix today. An oil spill in the morning Moto3 warm-up caused a large delay, which resulted in the intermediate class race being cut short to a 15 lap sprint. Here, Vierge had a strong start and he leapt forward from 3rd on the grid whilst the rain lashed down. He settled into a formidable rhythm and battled at the front of the field but kept focused to hold 2nd in the final laps, before soaring across the finish line to claim his first podium in the Moto2 World Championship.

Meanwhile, Remy Gardner powered through the rain to clinch a well-deserved 12th place finish at the Motul Grand Prix of Japan. The young Australian began from 19th and pushed forwards as the distance dialled down. He worked his way up the field before lunging into 12th on the final lap to close the weekend positively. The result leaves Gardner fully fired up for his home Grand Prix at Phillip Island next week.

Xavi Vierge produced a courageous and impressive performance in the tricky conditions today at the Twin Ring Motegi to successfully clinch his best ever qualifying position in the fiercely competitive Moto2 class. The young Spaniard took advantage of the drying track to speed to a personal best on his final lap and tomorrow he aims to leap forward when the lights go out and fight for a top-tier finish aboard the Mistral 610.

On the other side of the Tech3 Racing Team pit box, Remy Gardner will begin the round 15 fight from the head of the 7th row. After a promising performance in the wet at the beginning of the qualifying shootout, Gardner is confident for any condition tomorrow and he intends to close the weekend with a solid point scoring result.

He began from the ninth row and quickly started running a rapid rhythm as he manoeuvred his way through the ultra-aggressive pack. The Spaniard duelled with Lorenzo Baldassarri right up to the chequered flag, which he met in 14th having impressively moved up 11 places from his grid position.

Solid start for Vierge in mixed conditions – Gardner ready for more

Tech3 Racing Team rider Xavi Vierge began the Aragon GP in a confident manner as he battled against the weather today on home soil. The young gun got straight to work in the wet FP1 session, which he finished in 8th and then delivered another strong performance in the afternoon. Eventually, he completed the drying session in 9th and now he positively looks on to tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Remy Gardner produced a determined display in FP2 to end up only four-tenths of a second behind his teammate. The young Australian, who will remain with Tech3 for 2018, aims to take advantage of the expected dry weather tomorrow and clinch a strong qualifying position for the race on Sunday.
