Starting from P19 Tech3 Racing team rider Remy Gardner showed a brave race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli today. The fast Australian made up one position by another during the hot 25 laps, lying in 14that half time and eventually saw the chequered flag in 12th.
At the same time Bo Bendsneyder showed a brave come back as well. After getting off the line from P23 he lost some places but was already back in 22ndwith 12 laps to go. With a strong second half of the race, the Moto2 rookie placed his Mistral 610 in 20th position.

“I knew that the degradation to 19thwould make my race harder today, as we struggled in the beginning to pass some of the riders in front. I felt like I had a better pace in the beginning but anyway, once I got fresh air, I picked up the pace and passed a few riders. I managed to get up to 12th, had Aegerter behind me, pressuring me for the last half of the race, so that was a mental game, but we were strong. It was definitely a hot race and we still have to sort out some improvements for Aragon.”

“It has been a really difficult race in the beginning. Yesterday was a good day but today we changed something in the Warm Up, which didn’t go to plan and for the race it was the same. I had a completely different feeling than yesterday, especially with the front going into the corner, I didn’t feel comfortable, so we need to check in the data what was different from yesterday. In the second part, I learned a lot from this race, to work with my body on the bike and to finish it. It’s quite disappointing, but I keep fighting in Aragon”
“Great weekend for Remy Gardner, he has been fast all the time. Following the super performance in Silverstone we were really frustrated not to have the possibility to race there because after having done the second fastest lap in Qualifying we were truly looking forward to race, which couldn’t happen for the reason we know, but although there was no rain here, Remy has been fast all weekend long. I think he did a very, very strong and clever race. He has been fighting with top guys, GP winners, so this 12thposition means a lot. It was tough to get and I’d like to thank him and the whole Tech3 Moto2 team, who worked really hard. I also want to thank and congratulate Bo because I think this has been one of his best weekends so far in this category. His performance in Qualifying was great as well. For sure, 20this not ideal, but he is learning and he is a lot closer to the front and to his teammate than he’s ever been. Now, there’s just one more race left in Europe, Aragon, which was always a track, where we’ve done quite good with the Mistral, so let’s see what’s happening next round. Overall, it’s a happy Sunday for the Tech3 Moto2 team.”
