Xavi Vierge produced a courageous and impressive performance in the tricky conditions today at the Twin Ring Motegi to successfully clinch his best ever qualifying position in the fiercely competitive Moto2 class. The young Spaniard took advantage of the drying track to speed to a personal best on his final lap and tomorrow he aims to leap forward when the lights go out and fight for a top-tier finish aboard the Mistral 610.
On the other side of the Tech3 Racing Team pit box, Remy Gardner will begin the round 15 fight from the head of the 7th row. After a promising performance in the wet at the beginning of the qualifying shootout, Gardner is confident for any condition tomorrow and he intends to close the weekend with a solid point scoring result.
