Vierge seizes third on the grid for Japanese Grand Prix – Confident Gardner ready for Motegi showdown

Xavi Vierge produced a courageous and impressive performance in the tricky conditions today at the Twin Ring Motegi to successfully clinch his best ever qualifying position in the fiercely competitive Moto2 class. The young Spaniard took advantage of the drying track to speed to a personal best on his final lap and tomorrow he aims to leap forward when the lights go out and fight for a top-tier finish aboard the Mistral 610.

On the other side of the Tech3 Racing Team pit box, Remy Gardner will begin the round 15 fight from the head of the 7th row. After a promising performance in the wet at the beginning of the qualifying shootout, Gardner is confident for any condition tomorrow and he intends to close the weekend with a solid point scoring result.

Vierge powers through the rain on day 1 – Gardner begins Japanese GP confidently

Tech3 Racing Team rider Xavi Vierge worked non stop to improve the feeling of his Mistral 610 to conclude the opening day at Motegi in a positive way. The young Spaniard made steps forward in both sessions, before finishing FP2 in 12th, and he confidently awaits the second day of action where he aims to seal a solid qualifying position.

Meanwhile, Remy Gardner battled the treacherous conditions as he made an encouraging start to proceedings in Japan. The Australian closed FP2 in 17th and is fully prepared to make another step forward in FP3 tomorrow, which begins at 10:55 local time or 03:55 in central Europe, ahead of the all-important qualifying shootout.

Vierge clinches points on home soil - Gardner preservers in tough battle

Xavi Vierge completed the Aragon GP in 14th after delivering a determined performance in the challenging sprint. He began from the ninth row and quickly started running a rapid rhythm as he manoeuvred his way through the ultra-aggressive pack. The Spaniard duelled with Lorenzo Baldassarri right up to the chequered flag, which he met in 14th having impressively moved up 11 places from his grid position.

Meanwhile, Remy Gardner endured a demanding afternoon but rode relentlessly in the 21 lap sprint to finish 20th. The young Australian began from 17th and after a tricky start, he remained focused and maintained a consistent pace. He set his fastest time on the final lap and now confidently looks on to the upcoming triple flyaway races.

Gardner to start Aragon fight from 6th row – Vierge determined for Sunday

Moto2 class rookie Remy Gardner will commence his quest to clinch a strong point scoring result at the Aragon Grand Prix from 17th on the grid. The young Australian fought throughout the 45-minute shootout under the scorching Spanish sun and eventually finished 0.992 from the pole position time.

Meanwhile, Xavi Vierge will leap forward from the head of the ninth row as he intends to power to a strong result in front of his home crowd. The young gun endured a tricky time today as he worked relentlessly with the Tech3 Racing Team, but nevertheless, he confidently looks on to impressing his fans in the 21 lap battle.
